MAAP Successfully Exits Court Protected Bankruptcy; Implements New Plan To Rebuild And Grow.

Established in 1975, MAAP, Inc. (formerly the Mexican American Alcoholism Program) is one of the largest, multi-ethnic, client-based non-profit organizations in Northern California. MAAP was founded as a Latino organization and continues to provide extensive services (available in Spanish and English) to the Latino community.
One of MAAP's strongest assets is its ability to provide services in a culturally appropriate way to the community. Serving the community from various sites and venues, MAAP is fortunate to have a multicultural staff that represents the various ethnicities found in the Sacramento community. Our goal is to provide counseling and case mangement assistance to individuals and families experiencing substance abuse, mental illness, and/or post criminal incarceration challenges through education, prevention and treatment services leading to a safer and more socially responsible community.
MAAP provides direct services to over 4,000 people per month, including adolescents, young adults, adults, and seniors.
The annual SWEL Awards recognize employers nominated by their employees for the companies' innovative and extraordinary human resources efforts to provide exceptional benefits, programs, training and workplace practices that promote employee health, safety, advancement, diversity and security.
